Ich bin ja generell sehr begeistert über die Möglichkeiten des Internets, aber jedes Mal, wenn ich mich auf die Suche nach näheren Informationen zu einer Simpsons-Episode begebe, bin ich es noch etwas mehr.

ist nicht nur in voller Länge (und etwas schlechterer Qualität) online verfügbar, man findet im entsprechenden Wikipedia-Artikel der Folge auch den vollständigen Plot und Informationen über getätigte Anspielungen.

Schön an der Folge von 2004 ist, wie sie aufzeigt, dass die Medienmacht eines Medienmoguls (Charles Montgomery Burns, in Anspielung auf Rupert Murdoch) zerbröselt, wenn jeder eine Zeitung herausgibt (oder bloggt, ab 19:30 Minuten). Zitat Homer Simpson:

See Lisa, instead of one big-shot controlling all the media, now there’s a thousand freaks xeroxing their worthless opinions.

Am Schluss kommt Burns nochmals auf Murdoch zu sprechen, der viel Geld mit den Simpsons verdient hat:
